Unleash Your Quiet Power: A Workshop for Introverted Library Leaders

  • Wellbeing
  • In-Person Workshop
  • 6 CE Hours

Description

Feeling unheard, unseen, and undervalued? You’re not alone. Many introverted librarians struggle to navigate loud leadership models and power structures within libraries.

But what if your introversion is your secret weapon?

This immersive, hands-on workshop will help you embrace your introverted nature and discover the leadership superpowers hiding within your quiet strength.

Workshop Goals and Milestones:

  1. Beyond Types: Forget simplistic labels. We’ll delve into the nuanced spectrum of introverted leadership styles and where you might fall on the spectrum.
  2. Introverts under Stress: We’ll examine the specific ways stress and feelings of powerlessness impact introverts in library settings. From sensory overload to decision fatigue, we will explore communication breakdowns.
  3. Setting Boundaries: Discover how setting healthy boundaries and prioritizing your energy while connecting with your unique employees can fuel your leadership, not hinder it.
  4. Introverted Case Studies: Analyze real-world case studies providing advice to introverted leaders during times of stress, powerlessness and anxiety.
  5. Introverted Workplace: You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of introversion, introverted workplace culture and supervising introverted team members.

This is an in-person OhioNet event. Catered lunch is included with your registration.
