Call for Proposals: Practitioner Panelists for OhioNet AI Summit

Submit your proposal to be included on the practitioner panel for OhioNet’s upcoming summit on AI in libraries, “AI Alchemy: Libraries Growing Smarter.” Read more below for proposal guidelines and submission requirements.

OhioNet invites innovative and dynamic library professionals, AI experts, and thought leaders to submit proposals for panel presentations at our upcoming summit, “AI Alchemy: Libraries Growing Smarter” on November 19, 2024. This in-person event, hosted at the State Library of Ohio, will explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and libraries, focusing on how AI is transforming library services, enhancing user experiences, and driving growth in our communities.


We are looking for presentations that:  

  • Showcase innovative applications of AI in libraries 
  • Discuss strategies for integrating AI into library operations and services 
  • Explore the ethical considerations of AI in the library environment 
  • Share case studies, success stories, and lessons learned from AI projects and experimentation 
  • Offer forward-looking perspectives on the future of AI in libraries 

Proposal Guidelines:  

  • Title of Presentation: A concise and engaging title. 
  • Abstract: 250-500 words summarizing the content of your presentation and its relevance to AI in libraries. 
  • Presenters: Names, titles, and affiliations of proposed panelists and speakers. 
  • Learning Outcomes: What will attendees gain from your session? 
  • Session Format: Panel discussion with 3 speakers, up to 60 minutes including Q&A. 
  • Technical Requirements: Any special equipment, set-up, or accessibility needs that we should consider.  

Submission Deadline: Friday, September 13, 2024  

Submission Instructions: Please submit your proposal via email to [email protected] by the above deadline. Selected speakers will be notified by Tuesday, October 1, 2024. An honorarium and meals will be provided to selected panelists.
