Diversity Assessment RFQ now open – apply by 7/31!
From OhioNet Executive Director & CEO Nancy S. Kirkpatrick –
We have an exciting opportunity we want to share with the Ohio library and research community. OhioNet has been having conversations about how to create equity within our organization, our members, and the field of librarianship more broadly. Those conversations, held with OhioNet staff, board, and also the OPAL Board of Directors, led to the realization that we needed more information before we attempted to jump in with a solution.
The result is this Request for Quotation. We want to hire you, or someone you know, to perform an ADEI assessment of OhioNet and an assessment of the state of BIPOC Librarianship in Ohio. The intent of the project is to have a clearer path toward implementing a meaningful residency or intern program through which there is mutual respect, power, and strength-building between librarians of color by and with OhioNet and its member libraries.
More details about the project, including anticipated timeline, deliverables, and pay rate, are included in the below PDF. Please share broadly with your communities and consider applying if this opportunity aligns with your experience and passion.
Any questions can be forwarded to me directly at [email protected]. We look forward to working with you!
