Notes from the Executive Director – June 2019

As the seasons change and we get ready to welcome summer, it seems a good time to share some annual reminders as well as some of the changes that are on the horizon at OhioNET.

Membership invoices have been prepared and will arrive shortly. Membership in OhioNET provides many benefits, including networking and information sharing opportunities, access to discounts on eResources for your library, and robust continuing education and training opportunities. Thank you for your continued membership!

Speaking of eResources, we are excited about some improvements to how we manage the renewal process – namely the introduction of ConsortiaManager. This tool allows you to manage your subscriptions, easily update your library’s information (such as FTE, IP ranges, and contacts), view and print invoices, and see your savings compared to list price. As with all new things, there is a learning curve, and we appreciate your patience as we (and you) navigate this change. In the short term, it may take us a bit longer than typical to get answers to complicated renewal questions, but please know that we are working diligently on behalf of our members and we will respond to all requests.

Last, and perhaps most exciting, OhioNET is experiencing a season of transformation. As we strive to better serve our membership, we’ll be posting several new opportunities in Member Services and Technology soon.
