Q&A with Cori Hundley
Q: What is your role at OhioNet, and what will you be working on?
A: I’m the Library Systems Coordinator, and my primary focus is helping manage and support the COOL library systems. I’ll be troubleshooting issues, providing training, and working on projects that enhance system functionality and user experience.
Q: Can you share a bit about your professional background?
A: I’ve worked in a variety of library environments, from large institutions to small community colleges. My journey has taken me to the Library of Congress (a dream job for many!), Worthington Libraries, Central Wyoming College as an Assistant Librarian and IT Help Desk Manager, and the Wyoming State Library, where I served as a Systems Librarian for the WYLD network.
Q: What’s your educational background?
A: I earned my B.A. in History from The Ohio State University and later pursued my Master of Library and Information Science (M.L.I.S.) from Kent State University.
Q: Where do you call home?
A: I live in Grove City, OH, with my four-legged sidekick, Briar Rose (or just Briar), who keeps life entertaining with her adorable and mischievous antics.
Q: What hobbies and interests keep you busy outside of work?
A: I’m an avid reader and book collector—because let’s be honest, those are two different hobbies. I also enjoy hiking, camping, or backpacking somewhere scenic, practicing martial arts, dabbling in all kinds of arts and crafts, taking care of my ever-growing collection of plants, or running and lifting weights (to balance out my love of tacos).
Q: Any favorite foods or culinary preferences?
A: Tacos are my ultimate food love. I could eat them for every meal and never get tired of them (though my nutrition might disagree!). Just no raw onions, please.
Please join us in welcoming Cori to the OhioNet team!
