Learning and Development Coordinator

The Delaware County District Library has an opening for the newly created full-time Learning and Development Coordinator.
The primary duties of this position are to manage and oversee the Training Department. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and facilitating system-wide staff training programs and initiatives. This position will oversee employee onboarding & professional development and act as an internal consultant on training issues.
This position will work mornings, days, evenings, and weekends; however, the schedule may change as the needs of the Library change. This position will require travel between Library locations, be required to participate in and attend periodic events and training, and will be required to perform other duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, education technology, industrial design, or related field from an accredited four (4) year college or university.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience with office software, Internet applications, and emerging technologies is required.
• Experience in various methods of training is required.
• MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution is preferred.
• Two to three years related experience in a library or education environment preferred.
• Certifications in Talent Development (CPID) or Training Management (CPTM) preferred.
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed for community events is required. The schedule may change as the needs of the Library change.
• Ability to travel between Library locations as needed is required.
• Regular and predictable physical attendance is required.
